I want to take the opportunity to thank you all as a group, and individually, for the extrordinary effort, flexibility and cooperation that you each contributed to getting a critical job for us done at the speed of, well . . light!

To shed some of that light on the big picture, Richmond Baking poured raw ingredients into their machines less than 72 hours ago in Georgia and then held FedEx Freight in a virtual headlock to make sure it got on a truck the same day, despite being after the official close. CH Robinson got it from Georgia to Boston in 36 hours and First Call Trucking spun it around to CWS in less than 45 minutes from receipt. CWS stopped everything else it was doing to pack it into finished goods, labeled with graphics that Advantage Label had jumped through hoops to deliver ahead of schedule. CWS transformed the raw product into finished goods within 3 hours of receiving the product . . by hand. First Call retrieved the finished goods, bypassed their own cross dock and delivered it directly to the LTL carrier’s terminal to ensure, with CH Robinson’s oversignt, it will be in Maryland tomorrow morning.

And, because of all that, we’ll get to keep Sysco as a customer.

When you look back over this, it really reads like well orchestrated teamwork. We should do this more often! Kidding . . just kidding, really!
